🔧 MIG Welder – Established Engineering Company

Pay: £14.00 – £15.00 per hour (depending on ability)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Day or Night Shifts available)

Operating with a close-knit team in a fast-paced environment, the business produces mild steel components ranging from machined forgings to heavy fabricated products for a global customer base.

Hours of Work

• Day Shift: Monday–Thursday, 07:00 – 17:30 (40 hours per week)
• Night Shift: Monday–Wednesday, 18:00 – 06:00; Thursday, 18:00 – 23:30 (shift allowance: time + ⅓)
• Piece Work: Available for those seeking flexible earning potential
• Overtime: Regularly available due to increasing workload

Breaks: 10-minute paid morning break, 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Free tea and coffee provided.

Responsibilities

• Welding mild steel products (12kg – 750kg)
• Completing repeat jobs and longer runs (up to 6 hours)
• Operating lifting equipment such as overhead cranes (training provided if required)
• Meeting production targets while maintaining high quality standards
• Following strict Health & Safety procedures (all PPE provided)

Skills & Qualifications

• MIG welding experience (essential)
• Ability to complete single run butt welds
• Ability to complete single run fillet welds
• Ability to complete multi-run fillet welds (desirable)
• Willingness to undertake in-house training
• Potential to become coded depending on skill level and time with the business
