MIG Welder Job in Aldridge

Bespoke Career Solutions is recruiting an experienced MIG Welder for a temp-to-perm opportunity in the Aldridge, Walsall area.

This is a hands-on welding position working on heavy structural steel fabrications. The role would suit an experienced MIG Welder who is confident producing strong, accurate welds on large steel components within a busy engineering and fabrication environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out MIG welding on heavy structural steel components.
• Work from engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Weld large fabricated sections to the required specification.
• Prepare materials and components prior to welding.
• Carry out grinding, cleaning and finishing where required.
• Inspect completed welds and maintain high quality standards.
• Use workshop tools and welding equipment safely.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organised working area.

Experience Required

• Previous MIG welding experience is essential.
• Experience with heavy structural steel or heavy fabrication.
• Ability to produce clean, strong and consistent welds.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Experience using grinders, hand tools and fabrication equipment.
• Good attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
• Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Pay and Working Pattern

• £15.75 per hour.
• Day shift.
• Full-time hours.
• Temp-to-perm opportunity.
