About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Saw Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment. The role involves operating a Stuga saw machine to accurately cut uPVC materials used in the production of window and door frames.
This is a hands-on production position suited to someone with experience working with machinery who can maintain high standards of accuracy, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a Stuga saw machine to cut uPVC profiles to specification
- Measuring and checking materials before and after cutting
- Ensuring all cuts are precise and meet production requirements
- Reading and working from technical drawings, order sheets, or cutting lists
- Maintaining quality standards throughout the manufacturing process
- Carrying out basic machine checks and reporting any faults or issues
- Keeping the work area clean and compliant with Health & Safety standards
- Supporting other areas of production when required
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience operating saw machinery, ideally Stuga equipment
- Experience within uPVC window or door manufacturing desirable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work to production targets and deadlines
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping
- Good awareness of workplace Health & Safety
