The Role – MIG Welder

As a MIG Welder, you will be working on heavy structural steel components, ensuring all welds meet required quality and strength standards. This is a physically demanding role suited to someone confident working with thick materials and large fabrications.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• MIG welding heavy structural steel sections to a high standard
• Working from detailed engineering drawings
• Welding thick gauge materials and large fabrications
• Preparing materials, including cutting, grinding, and cleaning
• Ensuring all welds meet quality and safety standards
• Inspecting finished work and carrying out rework if required
• Working as part of a fabrication team to meet production targets
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Requirements

• Proven experience as a MIG Welder
• Strong background in heavy structural steelwork
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• Experience welding thick materials
• Good attention to detail and quality standards
• Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented
