Horizontal Band Saw Operative Job in Brownhills

Bespoke Career Solutions is recruiting an experienced Horizontal Band Saw Operative for ongoing full-time work in the Brownhills area.

This is a hands-on manufacturing role involving the accurate cutting of steel and other metals to specified sizes. Previous experience operating an industrial horizontal band saw is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate horizontal band saw machinery safely and efficiently.
• Cut steel and other metal materials accurately to required dimensions.
• Measure and mark materials before cutting.
• Set the saw for different material sizes and cutting requirements.
• Load and unload steel and metal stock.
• Check completed cuts against measurements and job specifications.
• Use measuring equipment including tape measures and other workshop tools.
• Monitor blade condition and report maintenance or replacement requirements.
• Keep the work area clean, organised and safe.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.

Experience Required

• Previous experience operating a horizontal band saw is required.
• Experience cutting steel or other metals within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Confident measuring materials and working accurately to specified dimensions.
• Good understanding of workshop health and safety.
• Reliable and able to work independently when required.
• Good attention to detail and a practical approach to work.

Working Hours

This is a full-time position with a 7:30am start. The work is ongoing and would suit someone looking for consistent hours within a busy engineering or manufacturing environment.
