Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – West Midlands
Location: West Midlands
Pay: Competitive salary depending on experience
Hours: 37 hours per week – Fixed day shift (approx. 6am/7am to 2pm/3pm Monday to Thursday, 6am to 4pm Friday)
Contract: Permanent
Bespoke Career Solutions Ltd are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing company in the West Midlands. This is a permanent role offering excellent working conditions, long-term stability, and great employee benefits.
The Role:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and repair work on production machinery
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults, including hydraulics and pneumatics systems
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently to minimise downtime
- Assisting with machinery improvements, installations, and reliability projects
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and ensuring compliance with company standards
What we’re looking for:
- Formal mechanical engineering qualifications (apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong understanding of PPM processes, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Ability to work independently and as part of a proactive maintenance team
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
